St Xavier’s High School, Panchkula, organises ‘Annual Extravaganza’
The ‘Annual Extravaganza’ 2023-24 of the school was organised at Indradhanush Auditorium. The function involved most of the students of the school in a spectacular show of music, dance, drama and costume. Junior Vice-Principal Trevor Shear gave an ardent welcome to the guests and parents. The function commenced by invoking the blessings of the Almighty with the thanksgiving song. The students who excelled in the curricular and co-curricular activities were felicitated in the awards ceremony. The budding musicians of the school made a mark with their harmonious musical presentation on flutes and guitars. The auditorium resonated with their warm-lyrical notes. The audience watched with rapture when students dressed as skeletons amused them with their performance and gave them a glimpse of their unforeseen world. The gathering was then made to travel through the time to witness the various historical events and appreciate the progress we have made as a civilisation through the compelling dramatisation of different eras. The ambiance became vibrant and breezy when the students presented array of dances in different flavours. Adorable students of the pre-primary and primary wing of the school exhibited their melodramatic skills in the musical play titled ‘Moon Symphony’. The gripping narrative paired with vocal talent, solid theatrical cast and melodies produced by anthropomorphic animals. The attributes of resilience, perseverance and teamwork were portrayed emphatically by the little hearts. Parents were overwhelmed and overjoyed after seeing their wards’ performances and appreciated every performance with a warm thunderous applause. Chairman I William applauded the efforts of the students, parents and teachers to make this grand event a huge success. The memorable event concluded with the singing of the school anthem.
