The admission ordeal for several students affected by St Stephen’s refusal to offer them seats has finally come to an end.

While 14 students successfully secured admission on Friday, two others, Anantjeet Verma and Aryan, faced a temporary setback when Hindu College initially denied them seats, stating they had been allotted by mistake.

However, the situation was resolved on Saturday when the two students visited Hindu College again and had their admissions confirmed.

Speaking to The Tribune, Nitin Verma, father of Anantjeet, shared his relief after a challenging process. “My son initially secured admission to Hansraj College following the St Stephen’s crisis, but since the subjects weren’t what he wanted, he was later allotted Hindu College. Today, he was finally admitted to Hindu,” Verma said.

Earlier in the week, 14 other students were offered seats in various colleges based on their marks, after being rejected by St Stephen’s College. Their admissions were finalised on Thursday.

The students are expected to attend their first day of college on Tuesday, as Monday is a holiday due to Eid-e-Milad.
