The Opening Ceremony of the 13th Wg Cdr S S Gyani Memorial Cricket Tournament was an impressive success. The ceremony started with a traditional welcome of the Chief Guest Vivek Atray. Students presented Ganesh Vandana, invoking the blessings of lord Ganesha before the commencement of the tournament. An impressive gymnastics display by a team of talented athletes left the audience enthralled. It was followed by the oath-taking ceremony. The players pledged to obey the rules of the game and play in all fairness. The Chief Guest addressed the audience and appreciated the continued dedication of St Soldiers towards promoting sports and enabling young players to get the correct opportunities. He declared the tournament open and even played a couple of shots on the field.
