The students of Divinity and Music Departments of the school participated in various ‘Gurmat’ competitions organised at Gurdwara Patshahi Dasween, Sector 8-C, Chandigarh, on the 555th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. Students bagged prizes in different categories like ‘Gurbani’ ‘Kanth’, ‘Kavita Path’ and lecture competitions, individual ‘Kirtan Gayan’ and ‘Group Shabad Kirtan’. In total, the students bagged five first prizes, four second prizes and six third prizes and were given cash prizes and mementos. Principal Shama Kukkal expressed her immense pleasure over achievements of the students and hard work of their mentors.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
