New Delhi, July 22

Celebrated hockey goalkeeper PR Sreejesh today announced that he will bid adieu to the game after the Paris Olympics, ending a career that spanned 18 years. The 36-year-old, a veteran of 328 international caps, will be playing in his fourth Olympics. “As I prepare for my last dance in Paris, I look back with immense pride and forward with hope,” Sreejesh said. “This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary,” he added.

After making his debut at the 2006 South Asian Games, Sreejesh won two Asian Games gold and two Commonwealth Games silver. But the bronze in the Tokyo Olympics is his most cherished possession, which he now wants to better in his last dance at Paris.
