Spurious pills seized from Barwala factory
Panchkula, August 5
The Department of Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Haryana, unearthed a factory from where spurious medicine was being sold at Alipur village in Barwala here today.
According to information, officials of the department had received a tip-off that someone was selling fake products of a factory at Chandpur village in Una district of Himachal Pradesh.
Consignment came from Delhi

- The consignment of spurious medicine reportedly supplied from Bawana, Delhi
Acting on information, a team was constituted. The team raided Cubic Light Science Private Ltd located at Industrial Area, Alipore, Barwala, Panchkula, and seized spurious medicines costing Rs 5,69,940.
The name of the manufacturer of this medicine is written as Relieve Pharmaceuticals, Chandpur village, Una, Himachal Pradesh. The consignment of spurious medicine was reportedly supplied from Bawana, Delhi.
Sukesh Chandra, a partner of Relieve Pharma, told the FDA team that the firm did not have any factory office in Bawana. The department has informed the Delhi Drugs Department about the incident.
Meanwhile, the department organised Eat Right Mela at the community centre in Sector 20 here today.
