Rohan Bopanna and his Australian partner Matthew Ebden’s hopes of making the semifinals at the ATP Finals are all but over following their second straight defeat. The sixth-seeded duo went down 5-7 3-6 to the top-seeded pair of Marcelo Arevalo from El Salvador and Mate Pavic of Croatia in a 68-minute contest. The two are at the bottom of the standings in the Bob Bryan group. This tournament marks the last for Bopanna and Ebden as a team, concluding their two-year partnership. Earlier, they lost against home favourites Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori.
