Sachin Tendulkar shares throwback pic on World Sports Journalists Day

Many athletes and sportspersons wished journalists on World Sports Journalists Day on Friday, including legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.
Sachin shared a photograph on Twitter posing with sports journalists and wrote: “Happy #WorldSportsJournalistsDay! Thank you for your constant support and for being the irreplaceable bridge between sports and fans around the world.”

Union Minister of State for Sports Kiren Rijiju also wished sports journalists on the occasion.
“I extend my best wishes to all our sports journalists on the occasion of World Sports Journalists Day. Media is a critical stakeholder in ensuring the growth of the sports sector. Let’s all work together to create a sporting nation. #Cheer4India #WorldSportsJournalistsDay,” he tweeted.
The World Sports Journalists Day marks the anniversary of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS), established in 1924. Its headquarters is based in Switzerland. Every year, Sports Journalists Day is held on July 2nd across the world.
