Inderbir Singh Sodhi, popularly known as Ish Sodhi, tried his hand at Punjabi commentary in cricket recently.

The ICC posted a video clip featuring the Indian-origin star of New Zealand’s cricket team.

Born in Ludhiana, Punjab, on October 31, 1992, he moved to New Zealand when he was four years old.

The leg-spinner said he thinks there should be Punjabi commentary too in cricket in the video as he speaks in fluent Punjabi as he commentates over an old match.

“Meet Inderbir Singh Sodhi, our Punjabi commentator,” the ICC captioned the video.

Recently, Sodhi was asked to speak in Hindi by a journalist. The leg-spinner hilariously replied that his mother would give him a hard time if he uttered even a single word in an incorrect way. He added that he had been working to improve his Hindi speaking skills.
