Speeding car hits college girl's scooter in Abohar
A speeding car hit a college student riding a scooter on Hanumangarh Road today, injuring her badly. The injured girl was immediately brought to the Civil Hospital in an unconscious condition by passers-by.
The victim, who was later identified as Anupama, is a student of a private college. She was returning home from the college using the two-wheeler this afternoon.
When she reached near a furniture showroom, a speeding car hit her. She fell on the road and became unconscious. The erring car did not stop at the site.
People said there was no check on speeding vehicles that are also used by miscreants, including outsiders, to harass girls studying in a large number in educational institutions located on College Road, also known as Abohar-Hanumangarh Road.
