Speed up work on road projects: Dy CM to PWD

Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary today chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). He also took stock of working of the Labour, Industries & Commerce, Geology & Mining departments at Nowshera.

The meeting was attended by officers of the respective departments.

Regarding delay in work execution due to lack of forest clearance, the Dy CM directed the officers concerned to coordinate and ensure timely approvals.

The Deputy CM assessed scheme-wise physical and financial progress of the PMGSY projects in Rajouri and Budhal divisions. He directed the officers to expedite completion of ongoing projects while maintaining highest quality standards.

Taking a serious note of reports of substandard work at some PMGSY projects, he said there would be no compromise on quality of works.
