A meeting was held today under the chairmanship of District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shimla Anupam Kashyap with recognised political parties in connection with the "Special Revision of Photo Voter Lists-2025" in Shimla district.

The DC said as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India (ECI), a special revision campaign of photo voter lists was being conducted considering January 1, 2025, as the eligibility date. On November 13 and 26, special help desks would be set up by the booth level officer in government/private educational and technical institutions, in which the students studying in the said institutions who were eligible to become voters would be provided facilities for registration.
