Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan has ordered the withdrawal of a letter issued by the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat to teachers of a government school in Godara seeking their explanation on not according due respect to Jaiton MLA Amolak Singh.

Sandhwan is learnt to have rebuked the Secretariat staff for sending the letter to the teachers, regarding a complaint made against them by MLA Amolak Singh, for the latter’s breach of privilege. The letter was sent to the teachers as part of the routine process, said an official press release.

He made it clear that any matter related to breach of privilege must be brought to his notice before taking any action.
