Project Hilldaari, an initiative supported by Nestlé India, and the Palampur Municipal Corporation organised a stakeholder engagement ceremony on Tuesday to focus on strengthening solid waste management strategies. The event held at Hotel Sarovar Portico aimed at enhancing waste management practices in the city with the help of collaborative efforts and promoting youth participation.

The event was attended by Kangra Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa, SDM Palampur Netra Meti, Municipal Commissioner Dr Ashish Sharma. MC councillors, senior administrative officials, sanitation workers, and representatives from various social organisations were also present.

Project Hilldaari, in collaboration with Plan Foundation and technical partner Recity Network, is committed to fostering cleanliness, collective action, and citizen participation across seven major tourist cities in India - Mussoorie, Dalhousie, Mahabaleshwar, Munnar, Ponda, Darjeeling, and Palampur. The project’s primary goal is to establish these cities as some of the cleanest in India.
