Solan university celebrates National Pharmacy Week
The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shoolini University, recently celebrated National Pharmacy Week with a focus on promoting safe medication practices and raising public health awareness.
The event highlighted the vital role pharmacists played in healthcare delivery and patient care.
Programme coordinator and assistant professor (School of Pharmaceutical Sciences) Dr Raveen Chauhan delivered a lecture on “Patient Counselling and Safe Medication Practices”.
Speaking to pharmacy students, Dr Chauhan stressed the importance of patient counselling in enhancing medication adherence and improving health outcomes.
On the occasion, a health awareness campaign was also organised by faculty members and pharmacy students. The campaign team reached out to the Sultanpur panchayat, interacting with the panchayat pradhan and engaging with community members.
Through door-to-door interactions, the team raised awareness about the importance of safe and effective medication use, and provided lifestyle modification tips to encourage healthy living.
Prof Deepak Kapoor of the Dean School of Pharmaceutical Sciences expressed his views on the importance of National Pharmacy Week.
