Solan cop honoured for anti-smuggling ops

Head Constable Anupam Kumar, who is posted in the Detection Cell of the Solan police, was conferred with the ‘Best Police Officer’ award by the Committee Against Smuggling and Counterfeiting Activities Destroying the Economy for his anti-smuggling operations at a function held in Delhi last evening.

“The Solan police have taken a swift action against drug dealers during the last one year. Head Constable Anupam Kumar posted in the Detection Cell has made a significant contribution in the campaign launched by district Solan Police against drug dealers,” Solan SP Gaurav Singh said.

Anupam Kumar has played an important role in nabbing big drug suppliers during the last one year. Thirty-six inter-state networks involved in drug trafficking were dismantled by the district police.

Notably, the Solan police are undertaking a sustained campaign to crack down on drug peddlers. More than 107 drug suppliers have been nabbed since July 2023.
