Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap has ordered immediate halting of construction work in Shoghi panchayat, near here, after a skeleton was found during an excavation work for the construction of a building.

The State Museum’s team will conduct investigations into the skeleton’s significance. Kashyap said he had received a letter from the curator of the State Museum, wherein the curator had called for stopping of the construction work until their investigation of the skeleton was over.

A team from the museum will visit the site on Friday to conduct the archaeological examination.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
