SJVN’s Rampur HPS holds vendor meet

SJVN’s 412 MW Rampur HPS organised the 22nd edition of Vendor Development Meet for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) yesterday. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, was the chief guest of the occasion.

In his inaugural address, Sharma said the SJVN was committed to promoting MSMEs. “Such vendor development meets are an important step towards promoting an inclusive ecosystem where the MSMEs can prosper and thrive. Our aim is to open new avenues for MSMEs and pave the way for sustainable development in collaboration with various institutions such as MSME, NSIC and National SC/ST Hub,” he said. He laid emphasis on connecting SC/ST and women owned MSMEs to the mainstream.

Earlier in his welcome address, project head of Rampur HPS, Vikas Marwah, said the MSMEs had played a pivotal role in the development of the nation’s growing economy. “The SJVN organises vendor development meets from time to time to facilitate the vendors for providing products and services as per the requirements of the company,” he said.

During the meet, detailed presentations about various platforms like MSME, NSIC, GeM were made for the participating vendors. The vendors also shared their experiences about successful association with the company.
