The Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, Gurugram (MCG), Ashok Kumar Garg resolved six complaints related to property tax on the spot while presiding over the Samadhan Shivir organised at his office in Gurugram on Tuesday.

While hearing the complaints related to encroachment and unauthorised constructions, the Commissioner directed the enforcement wing to take effective action in this matter and remove illegal encroachments from the corporation land and also secure it by building a boundary wall or fencing so that it was not encroached upon again.

He also asked the enforcement wing officials keep an eye on the encroachments and take action against those taking part in illegal constructions in the MC’s area. While hearing complaints related to damaged or uncovered sewer manholes, he said the engineers concerned should ensure that the manhole covers installed by the agency were of good quality. Complainants said at times, the covers broke within a few days of installation.
