To streamline the lifting of purchased paddy, the authorities in Sirsa mandi have implemented strict measures, including a ban on tractor-trolleys entering the mandi after 5 pm. The Market Committee, Arhtiya Association and the Police Department have come together to enforce these rules.

Arhtiya Association president Manohar Mehta stated that a meeting with DSP Subhash Chand, Market Committee Secretary Virendra Mehta and paddy buyers was held to address the issue.

During the meeting, it was agreed that no arhtiya would bring paddy-laden trolleys into the mandi between 5 pm and 2 am. Police personnel, including 50 officers deployed by the DSP, are stationed at entry points to ensure compliance.

On November 15, trolleys were allowed into the mandi only until 10 am, after which entry was closed, and the lifting of paddy began. The next auction will begin on Monday. Any violation of these rules, such as bringing trolleys during restricted hours, will result in penalties, including a mandatory donation to a gaushala.

Mehta urged all arhtiyas to avoid piling paddy on roads inside the mandi and park empty trolleys outside. A general meeting has been scheduled for Saturday at 4 pm at Janata Bhawan to discuss further issues.

The police and association members are actively removing filled and empty trolleys to maintain order, ensuring that buyers and sellers adhere to the new regulations.
