Sirmaur admn takes urgent measures to tackle dengue
Nahan, July 6
In response to the increasing number of dengue cases in the district, Chief Medical Officer Dr Ajay Pathak convened a special meeting here today. The meeting included all district programme officers, block medical officers, civil hospitals, community health centre and primary health centre medical officers.
During the meeting, Dr Pathak reviewed the status of dengue and other fever-related illnesses in each block. He instructed block medical officers to ensure the availability of insecticides, diagnosis and treatment materials through municipal and panchayati raj institutions. Additionally, he emphasised the importance of public awareness about mosquito-borne diseases and the distribution of informative pamphlets.
Dr Pathak directed ASHA workers to educate people about the symptoms of dengue and to increase awareness in public places.
“Simple steps like these can make a significant difference in controlling the spread of dengue,” Dr Pathak said. “We must work together to ensure the health and safety of our community,” the CMO added.
