Harjinder Singh Kukreja and Harkirat Kaur Kukreja, renowned Sikh content creators with a global following, are set to attend the Oneness: A Light for Humanity event on November 9, 2024, at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. Hosted by the nonprofit Let’s Share a Meal, this interfaith gathering commemorates the 555th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, highlighting his teachings on unity, compassion, and equality.

The Kukrejas’ involvement promises to add depth and visibility to the event’s themes, leveraging their extensive social media reach and dedicated efforts in promoting Sikh values. Recently, Harjinder and Harkirat appeared on Jasmine Kaur’s podcast, announcing their attendance at Oneness and sharing personal reflections on Guru Nanak’s principles. They emphasized the significance of Oneness, drawing on Sikh values like community service and interfaith respect. Their reflections offer a preview of the values they aim to represent at the event, aligning with Let’s Share a Meal’s mission to foster unity across communities through dialogue and shared purpose.

Harjinder, recognized in The Sikh 100 as a leading Sikh figure, has previously made headlines for his symbolic acts promoting religious freedom, such as skydiving and scuba diving with a turban. Meanwhile, Harkirat, affectionately called a “Sikh Supermom,” mentors Afghan Sikh refugee girls and actively engages in Sikh practices with her children, emphasizing community service and the importance of daily Sikh prayers. Together, the Kukrejas embody Sikh values, widely sharing these messages across platforms with millions of followers.

Their children—Rehras Singh Kukreja, Aad Sach Singh Kukreja, and Rut Suhavi Kaur Kukreja—are integral to the family’s mission. Rehras recently demonstrated sewa (selfless service) through a cleanup mission on Bhutan’s sacred Tiger’s Nest trail, combining Sikh principles with Bhutan’s ecological values. Aad Sach, a passionate reader, enriches the family’s message by exploring Sikh teachings and universal values, while Rut Suhavi brings a joyful, creative spirit, embodying kindness and curiosity. Together, the Kukreja family represents a commitment to unity, purpose, and community service.

Known for their collaborations with international tourism boards and brands, Harjinder and Harkirat extend their influence beyond the Sikh community, frequently spotlighting Sikh values and interfaith harmony through travel content. At Oneness, their presence is expected to amplify Guru Nanak’s message on unity, driving online engagement and raising awareness of the event’s themes.

Notable attendees include the Consulate General of India, New Jersey Governor Philip D. Murphy, global Sikh leader Sant Singh Chatwal, Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla, and Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna. Their combined presence aims to foster dialogue on Guru Nanak’s principles of Naam Japna (remembrance of God), Kirat Karna (honest living), and Vand Chhakna (sharing with others)—fundamental to the event’s commitment to peace and interfaith respect.

For Let’s Share a Meal, the Kukrejas’ attendance is a major asset, aligning closely with the organization’s mission of promoting unity, compassion, and Sikh identity preservation. The Oneness event marks a milestone in celebrating Sikh values and cultural interconnectedness, offering attendees a unique opportunity to connect with these ideals.
