Two sisters, Bhavya Jain (23) and Charvi Jain (21), were arrested on Friday night in a chaotic scene at Anekant Apartments in Vasundhara Enclave, East Delhi. The siblings allegedly threatened an elderly resident and drove their car recklessly, injuring several people and damaging property.

The incident began when Ashok Sharma, a 70-year-old retired police officer, asked the sisters to stop honking their car horn late at night. In retaliation, they reportedly damaged his flower pots and entered his home, where they threatened him with a knife.

When the police were called, the sisters barricaded themselves in their apartment for hours. Upon finally exiting, they drove their vehicle recklessly through the complex, colliding with parked cars and injuring bystanders, including a police vehicle. CCTV footage captured the chaos as the sisters sped through the area, dragging a scooter and narrowly missing pedestrians.

Joginder, a scooterist, described the moment his vehicle was hit, noting that he was standing outside the complex when the car struck and dragged his scooter for some distance. Pradeep Chaurasia, an electrician, also sustained injuries as the car sped through the area.

Police chased the sisters until they were intercepted at Noida Sector 20, where they were taken into custody. This incident follows a prior case in September, where the sisters were charged with wrongful confinement and assaulting a security guard after he refused to address a plumbing issue personally.
