Shops, eateries in Mohali dist to open on Sunday too
Mohali, July 1
With a decline in the number of Covid-19 cases, the district administration has now permitted certain additional activities. Girish Dayalan, District Magistrate, has permitted all non-essential shops and restaurants to open on Sunday as well from 5 am to 7 pm. IELTS coaching institutes have been allowed to open subject to obeying the curfew timings, provided their teachers, staff and students have had at least one dose of the Covid vaccine. It shall be the personal responsibility of the owner to ensure strict adherence to these norms.
Dayalan said skill development centres and universities would be allowed to open on the condition that the staff and students should have taken at least one dose of the vaccine. He said bars, pubs and taverns would be allowed to open at 50 per cent capacity. However, the social distancing protocol must be maintained and waiters and other employees should have taken at least one dose of the vaccine. He said any violation of the orders shall invite action. — TNS
