World Food Day was celebrated at the school with an aim to shape children’s perceptions of a healthy balanced diet as the basis of good eating habits and a healthy lifestyle. Nursery class students were shown video on the topic, ‘Healthy Food’. They identified different fruits and vegetables through varied activities. Students of LKG learnt the names of vegetables and recited rhymes on healthy food. Students of KG participated in storytelling on the importance of food and wrote the names of fruits and vegetables. The students were guided not to waste their food. Tiny tots learnt the value of good nutrition as it is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle combined with physical activities.
