The Language and Culture Department, Dharamsala, Kangra, organised a cultural theatre programme for the holistic development of young talents at the school. The programme was inaugurated by school Manager Malikyat Singh Rana and chief guest Jitendra Kumar, Principal Baba Kanshi Ram Government Degree College, Dada Siva, by offering prayers to Goddess Saraswati and lighting the lamp. Folk songs, folk dances, speeches and one-act plays were included in the programme, in which many young artistes participated. Students of Class VII sang folk songs and won the applause of the audience. Students of classes VI, VIII and IX mesmerised everyone by presenting folk dance. Young artistes of Class X made the audience dance by presenting ‘nati’. Teachers Manoj Kumar, Sakshi, Ankita, Bandana and Pooja Sharma in their speeches threw light on the life and teachings of Mahatma Buddha. In the end, all the participants were honoured with trophies and certificates. School Director Malkiyat Singh Rana gave gifts to the dignitaries and thanked them.
