Shiv Sena, BJP leaders condemn attack on Hindu temple in Brampton
Several Hindu leaders including Shiv Sena’s (UBT) Kamal Saroj, Punjab state press secretary and senior leader Baljit Singh Bhullarai and BJP leader Parminder Mehta have strongly condemned the recent attack by radical Khalistani elements on the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton, Canada. The leaders described the incident as a severe assault not only on the sentiments of the global Hindu community but also as an affront to the image of the Sikh community.
In a sharp statement, Saroj urged both the Canadian government and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to take decisive action to prevent such anti-India and anti-Hindu incidents from recurring, warning that they could tarnish Canada’s reputation as a peace-loving nation. He emphasised that giving political leeway to those with an extremist, divisive mindset would be detrimental to Canada in the long run. “If unchecked, such individuals could become a danger to Canada itself,” Saroj remarked.
Baljit Bhullarai appealed to the global Sikh community to condemn the attack on the temple in the strongest terms, asserting that a firm condemnation from Sikhs around the world would thwart any divisive agenda and maintain the community’s integrity.
