Shimla Smart City Mission: Videography of all dev works begins
In order to capture video evidence of projects completed under the Smart City Project, Shimla Smart City Mission Limited here today commenced a drone-based survey of the town.
Under this survey, photography and videos of all completed and ongoing projects will be captured.
The step came after the Central Government sought report of the progress of projects that are being undertaken and that have been completed under the Smart City Mission. The Central Government has directed the officials to submit photographs and videos along with the documents.
The pictures clicked will be used in preparing a booklet in which details of the projects will also be mentioned. Apart from this, video clips of locals will be recorded to know their review about the smart city projects.
Gopal Chand, Managing Director-cum-CEO, Shimla Smart City Limited, said as per the directors of Government of India, videography was being conducted across the town. He said the process would continue for the next five to six days, after which the documentation process would be initiated which would then be submitted to the government. “A coffee table book having pictures of all developmental works that have been initiated and completed under the project will also be prepared,” he added.
In June 2017, the state capital Shimla was selected under the Smart City mission during the third round. Later, Shimla Smart City Mission Limited was incorporated. About 210 projects were initiated across the town, out of which 179 have been completed, while 31 are under progress.
