A senior police officer posted in a district in Haryana is facing allegations of sexual exploitation by some policewomen deployed in the same district.

The complaint has gone viral on social media after which the state government has reportedly taken cognisance of it.

Sources said that a four-page printed complaint which has signatures of seven women who claimed to be policewomen and victims of the officer was addressed to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

The complaint narrated an incident that occurred recently when a policewoman took another policewoman to the residence of the officer and was told to prepare tea in the kitchen. When she came to offer tea to the officer, he caught hold of her hand and used force. But she protested and rushed out of the room. The policewoman, who had taken her there, reprimanded her for doing so and told her that she should have cooperated with the officer for growth in career and promotion.

The complaint also mentioned a racket alleging that the senior policemen were involved in implicating rich persons in rape cases and then mediating a compromise.

The letter also talked about a policewoman who refused the advances of the officer and hence, her annual confidential report (ACR) was spoilt as punishment. The letter mentioned that the matter was also brought into the notice of an MLA who also intervened but still, the ACR was spoilt.

BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli said that if there has been any complaint which has been submitted to any authority, then definitely the matter would be investigated.
