Section 163 near exam centres in Sirsa

District Magistrate Shantanu Sharma has issued orders to enforce Section 163 around examination centres in Sirsa, ensuring peaceful conduct of exams held by the Haryana School Education Board, Bhiwani. These exams, including Secondary, Senior Secondary (academic/open school), and DElEd. (first year) for minority colleges, will take place from October 16 to November 9.

The exams will be held at several centres, including RSD Senior Secondary School on Dabwali Road, Government Senior Secondary School at Khairpur, Arya Senior Secondary School, Shahpur Begu Government School, and several others in Sirsa.

According to the order, carrying weapons within 200 metres of the exam centres is strictly prohibited. Additionally, unauthorised entry into exam centres is not allowed. All photocopy shops and coaching centres within this 200-metre radius must remain closed during the exam period.

These restrictions do not apply to police officers, students and public servants on duty. Violations will result in strict action under Section 223 of the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023.
