Discussions regarding seat sharing within the Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance for the Maharashtra Assembly elections are at a crucial phase with expectations that the matter would be resolved soon.

The MVA, which comprises the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and the Indian National Congress, has been working to finalise the seat-sharing arrangements.

It is learnt that the Congress is likely to contest 110-115 seats while Uddhav’s Shiv Sena is to get 90-95 seats. The Assembly poll in Maharashtra will be held in a single phase on November 20. The votes will be counted on November 23.
