The prestigious Indian Public Schools’ Conference (IPSC) Under-14 Girls Basketball Championship commenced at the school. The tournament features fierce competition between top IPSC schools from across the country. The opening ceremony set an energetic tone as teams and supporters gathered to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship. The tournament aims to not only showcase basketball excellence but also promote leadership, teamwork, and holistic development among the young athletes. On Day 1, The Emerald Heights International School, Indore, topped with a score of 33 over Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School, Jaipur. The Lawrence School, Sanawar, was defeated by YPS, Mohali, securing a win with 41 points, and Pinegrove School, Dharampur, dominated the third match over YPS, Patiala, finishing with a commendable score of 46. The evening session featured several thrilling encounters, beginning with Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School, Jaipur, convincing victory over The Daly College, Indore, ending with a score of 36-8. The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, also excelled, defeating Modern School, Delhi 25-9, while Lawrence School, Ooty, narrowly outplayed Lawrence School, Sanawar, with a final score of 21-16.
