Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh

The school celebrated Father’s Day virtually with enthusiasm. Students of Junior Wing (KG-V) showcased their love and respect for their fathers through various activities such as card making, cooking, singing, dancing, reciting poems, etc. The event concluded with fathers expressing their feelings on the occasion. They appreciated the efforts of the school for the online celebrations. Students’ fantastic performances made the event a success. Principal Nina Pandey and Head of the Junior Wing Herbinderjit Kaur Rai were also a part of the celebration

Even though, there is a lockdown in the country amid the coronavirus pandemic, still teachers are continuously boosting the morale of their students through online teaching. A Class VII student Gurasis has composed an inspirational poem accompanied by a painting of ‘the Earth wearing a mask’. The poem conveys the message that society may overcome the pandemic slightly and also gives safety tips to the society. Principal Rachna Batra appreciated the child’s effort and motivated her to keep it up in the future.

The school is celebrating Reading Month in memory of the father of the Library Movement PN Panicker. It also aims to promote reading habits among students. Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the school has initiated and designed different online reading activities such as digital reading pledge by students, writing quotes on reading and quiz for readers. Students enjoyed the ‘reading day’ pledge in the first week of the Reading Month and participated enthusiastically.


Tripta Public School, Jawali, Kangra

Students brought laurels to the school as Ayushi, Saanvi Thakur, Sargam Dharoch and Mausam have cleared the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam 2020. They have been selected for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Paprola. Principal Rakesh Rana congratulated the students for their achievement.
