St Xavier's International School, Zirakpur
The school hosted its annual Sports Day, bringing together students from Pre-Nursery to Class X for an action-packed celebration of sportsmanship and teamwork. A variety of sports events were held throughout the day. The event commenced with electrifying march past by students of all four houses of the school, followed by sports captain oath. The event was opened by Principal Mervin West after releasing colourful balloons into the sky.
Among the highlights were the colourful umbrella drill, synchronised dumbbell drill and beautifully presented saree drill by girls. A series of races added to the excitement, including the shirt race, balloon race, shoe race, slow cycle race, octopus race and flat race, where students displayed impressive speed and endurance. All winners were presented gold, silver and bronze medals by the special guests acknowledging their hard work and achievement. Chairman I William addressed the gathering, delivering an inspiring speech on the importance of sports in building character, resilience and unity. The day was a celebration of talent, effort and unity. The Principal concluded the event with a vote of thanks to the teachers, parents and staff for their support in making the event a grand success.
