The eighth Mohinder Memorial Basketball Tournament concluded with an exciting final match between Strawberry Fields High School and YPS, Mohali, where YPS Mohali emerged as the champions. The chief guest was Shiba Maggon, a distinguished former Indian basketball player, current coach of the Indian Senior Women’s Basketball Team, and international referee. She is also one of the first women to qualify as an international referee. In her address, Maggon inspired the students with her encouraging words, urging them to strive for excellence both on and off the court. The Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament awards were bagged by Kaumudhi and Anika, both from Strawberry Fields High School. The closing ceremony marked the successful culmination of this year’s tournament, which not only showcased outstanding athletic talent but also promoted the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork.
