The school organised an insightful workshop on ‘Disaster Management’, led by Mallika Chahal, the architect behind a special training module on school safety and disaster management, implemented in all government schools across Punjab. Her expertise reflects her deep commitment to promoting safety and education. The workshop, attended by students from classes IX and X, explored various aspects of disaster management. Chahal provided a comprehensive understanding of disaster management, focusing on strategies for preparedness and response. She covered critical topics such as urban flooding and the often-overlooked area of mental disasters, emphasising how psychological well-being plays a role in disaster situations. The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions and raising pertinent queries. Chahal addressed each question thoughtfully, ensuring that the participants were left with a clear understanding of how to handle emergency situations and the importance of being prepared for any unforeseen disasters.
