The school staged a powerful play, ‘Kanya’, at Tagore Theatre. The spectacular event was attended by NK Sharma as chief guest and other esteemed guests and parents. The production brought to the life the multifaceted experiences and challenges faced by women during the past and even in today’s life, weaving a powerful narrative of resilience, empowerment and hope. The play ‘Sati Pratha’ brought to life one of the darkest practices in Indian history — the ritual of Sati where widowed women were forced to self-immolate on their husband’s funeral pyre. The play on ‘Savitri Bai Phule’ — the torchbearer of women’s educational social reform and a crusader of social justice — had an enduring impact on the audience. School Chairperson Shanta Nayyar and Principal Hema Singh thanked parents for their invaluable support and cooperation.
