Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Sector 69, Mohali

The school organised ‘Melodiosa’, a musical event, providing a platform for the young budding artistes to show their talent in music. Musicians Chayanika Garg and Bakhshish were the jury members. Chayanika Garg is a playback singer who made a spectacular debut in Bollywood with the song “O Mahey” from the movie ‘Akelli’. Bakhshish is a versatile and accomplished artiste known for his talent as a singer, composer, lyricist, and music director. He has worked as a playback singer for the Punjabi movie ‘Ardass 3’, and collaborated with renowned artists such as Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Ten schools from the Tricity participated in the event. Trophies were awarded to all winning teams by Principal Parneet Sohal and Chairman AS Bajwa. The flamboyant Rockers Band added feather to its cap. The first prize was bagged by the host school, Shemrock Sen Sec School, Mohali, second prize by YPS, Mohali, and third prize by Saint Kabir School, Sector 26, Chandiarh.
