The school organised Pulse Polio camp on its premises for new children admitted to the school. The camp was organised with the help of Dr Ragina Maini, Senior Medical Officer, Bhai Ghanayia Health Centre, Punjabi University. The camp commenced with the administering of first doze by Dr Maini to a new student. She said although polio has been eradicated in our country, we yet cannot afford to let the guard down. Appreciating this gesture, school in-charge Satvir Singh Gill thanked Dr Ragina Maini and her team. All the staff members of school were present on the occasion.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
