NCC cadets of the school gave the message of ‘Green Diwali, Clean Diwali’ in the morning assembly. Cadet Jatin spoke about various measures that students can take to spread the message of maintaining hygiene and cleanliness during the festival. ANO Satvir Singh said due to efforts of the government and other bodies, pollution due to stubble-burning has decreased by 50 per cent this year. He asked the students to celebrate a safe and pollution-free Diwali. NCC cadets later took out a rally on the university campus to disseminate the message. Some students had brought saplings for plantation. Principal Balwinder Kaur, lecturer Harpreet Singh, teacher Gagandeep Singh and other staff of the school were present on the occasion.
