Vasant Valley Public School, Ladda

Class X student Khushi Mittal bagged the 14th position fromtop 20 participants in an international online contest.

An international competition ‘Clash of Pie’, in association with Global Mathematics Circuit, was organised.  As many as 2 lakh students from across 900 schools participated enthusiastically in the competition. Khushi Mittal, a Class X student, secured the 14th position from top 20 participants at the international level in the qualifier-1 phase. Chairman Sanjay Gupta and Ratan Gupta appreciated the efforts of the teachers, students and parents.

Vidhya Bharti Educational Society organised a programme ‘Vishay Varg’ of all subjects with 328 participants of Sarv Hitkari Vidya Mandir and linked schools. The purpose of this programme is to enhance the proficiency of teachers in their respective subjects. The programme started with a saraswati vandana. Resource person of the first session was scientist RK Kohli presently working as vice chancellor of Central University, Bhatinda. Dr Rajneesh Arora, Managing Director, Department of Engineering and Management Technology, Amritsar, was also present. He urged teachers to become role models for their students.  At the concluding session, Vijay Nadda inspired all teachers to enhance their skills and thanked the guests, principals, organising committee members and participants. The programme concluded with the rendition of ‘shanti mantra’. In the evening session, Rajni Dogra, District School In-charge, Amritsar, highlighted the role of English in the present scenario. The second session was conducted by Vineet Bansal, assistant professor, Government College, Malerkotla. He explained the methods of spotting errors in a sentence.

  • A webinar was organised for students of classes IX to XII and their parents. Guest speakers  Arpita Kapur, anaesthesiologist from ASMO, Civil Hospital, Panchkula, Anchal Sharma, psychologist from Fortis, Mohali, and sister BK Neha, a rajyoga teacher, participated in the event ‘The Art of being Happy’. Dr Arpita Kapur talked about the spread of coronavirus and the necessary precautions one must take to avoid contracting it, while Anchal Sharma discussed various psychological aspects of the present lockdown situation and its impact on students, their parents and teachers alike. Sister BK Neha conducted a meditation session with the students and their parents.

Delhi Public School, Chandigarh 

To mark the end of the national reading month amid the Covid pandemic, the library department organised a series of online activities like digital reading pledge, slogan writing on books or reading, bookmark making and online quiz. All students participated with great enthusiasm and interacted online with the school librarians.


SMDM School, Jalandhar

Students participated in a poetical recitation competition from their homes. They presented their poetry with gestures and emotions. Principal Ranbir Kaur appreciated the enthusiasm and efforts of the children who performed well even in this stressful time. She said such participations would keep them connected with the school and their teachers.


Sky School, Panchkula

 A first virtual PMTI was arranged successfully, wherein the main objective was to provide a deeper understanding to parents of their ward’s progress, strengths and weak areas to work on as a team in partnership for the holistic development of the child. Such meetings help both parents and teachers fill the loopholes, if any, and devise ways to enrich a child’s learning experience.
