Young Author’s Club and school magazine launched

Insight, the school magazine of Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh was launched recently. Manish Kumar Lohan, HCS, joint Secretary, Department of Home, UT, Chandigarh was the Chief guest and Tisha Khosla, a young best-selling author was the guest of honour at a ceremony held in the school auditorium. The school’s “Young Author’s Club” was also launched on the occasion. Principal Nina Pandey introduced the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour. With the motive to inculcate reading, learning and earning the “Young Author’s Club” was launched by the school and membership cards were given to the students of Class IX and XI. The Chief guest also launched the first book authored by a Class X student Bhvansh Goyal ‘ Bhvansh’s theory of Black holes’. The Chief Guest lauded the effort of the young writer and motivated the students to think differently and asked them to share their experiences by writing.


Seminar on first aid and road safety rules

A seminar on first aid and road safety was organised at Baby Convent School, Banur. Punjab Police (Patiala) and Chief Trainer KR Verma informed students about first aid and road safety rules. Students were informed to help the injured in case of any accident on the road. Besides, road safety rules such as stopping at red light and use of helmet and seat belt were explained. Principal Anmoldeep Kaur and Vice-Principal Reema Batla also briefed students about the rules.


Lawrence school pupils shine in taekwondo

Students of Lawrence Global School, Sirhind, brought laurels to the school by bagging five medals at the 8th Taekwondo Competition Championship organised by the Jalandhar and Patiala Taekwondo Association. Kartik of Class V bagged a silver medal, while Harjot Singh, Esmanjot Singh, Arshdeep Singh and Ekamjot Kaur secured bronze medals. The school Management, Principal and staff appreciated the winners.
