Schools conduct online activities to mark Father's Day and International Yoga Day

Students of AKSIPS-41 Smart School, Chandigarh, taking part in the virtual yoga session.



AKSIPS-41 Smart School, Chandigarh

A webinar was organised for students and staff members by the school yoga instructor who demonstrated various asanas to remain fit and fine. It was attended by the students, their parents and staff members. Executive Director Jasdeep Kalra and Principal Ritu Bali also participated in it.


Delhi Public School, Yamunanagar

An online art exhibition was conducted for parents and grandparents of students. The exhibition was supported by Prashant Sobti from Kokuyo Camlin. Winners Anita, Meena, Anjali Paul, Anju Singh, Ashi Gupta, Gaurav Garg, Pinki Tuli, Sachi Gupt, Veena Devi and Mukesh Sehgal were awarded e-certificates and special prizes. Chairman Ram Niwas Garg admired the creative work of parents.


NRI Public School, Dera Bassi

The school celebrated Father's Day online with enthusiasm. Students expressed their love and respect for their fathers through various virtual activities like card making, cooking, singing, dancing, reciting poems, etc. The event concluded with fathers expressing their feelings on the occasion. It was a day to be remembered and cherished.


Delhi Public School, Ambala

The school marked International Yoga Day through an online drive. Students performed various asanas with their families from their homes under the guidance of a yoga instructor. Principal Amita Dhaka appreciated the students’ participation and urged the students and their families to practise yoga every day to keep themselves fit, positive and energetic.


DAV Model School, Sector 15, Chandigarh

The Principal, staff, students, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets and Girl Guide Scouts took part in the online celebrations of International Yoga Day. The programme started with a welcome note by Principal Anuja Sharma. She highlighted the importance of yoga in life and exhorted all to do yoga everyday for a healthy life. Teachers and students performed yoga under the guidance of physical education teachers Vikram, Harjeet, Rajneesh and the yoga instructor. Students and teachers shared PPTs of their exercise and pledged to practise yoga regularly. A book ‘Yog—Jeewan ka aadhar’ was released by Principal Anuja Sharma. Girl guides incharges Sangeeta Gill and Manisha shared insights from the history of yoga to create awareness. NSS Volunteers also made videos performing different asanas with their family members, made posters and badges and gave speeches on the importance of yoga in life. NCC Cadets too joined the yoga celebrations under the leadership of Colonel Rohit Thakur.
