School notes: AKSIPS-123 Smart School, Greater Mohali

The school presented its annual event, the Field Show. With the theme “Ehsaas: Back to the Roots”, the occasion stood as a sincere tribute to Punjabi customs, celebrating the children who have journeyed back from abroad to reconnect with the profound essence of their cultural heritage. The vibrant occasion, held on the school premises, beautifully blended dynamic performances with emotional expressions, emphasising the importance of embracing one’s heritage, despite the allure of modernity. The chief guest was Shavinder Mahal, an actor, anchor and movie director, and Malkeet Rauni was the guest of honour. Executive Director Jasdeep Kalra, Associate Director (Administration), Sidhant Kalra, Parnika Singh (Associate Director, Academics), trustees and principals of the AKSIPS branches added elegance and grace to the show. In the annual report, Principal Anjali Singh highlighted the academic and co-curricular achievements of students throughout the session (2023-24). The national anthem was sung with reverence and unity.

DC Model Senior Secondary School, Panchkula

Aayushmaan, a Class VII student of the school, has been awarded the prestigious Inspire Award by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, for his project ‘Smart Wheels’. Known for his dedication and participation in science projects, both at school and in external competitions, Aayushmaan has brought laurels to the school and his parents. An academically high performer and a disciplined student, he is consistently engaged in various projects. Managing Director Bharat B Gupta expressed his heartfelt appreciation for Aayushmaan’s achievement and dedication, stating Aayushmaan’s hard work and enthusiasm for science are truly commendable.

DAV Riverside Public School, Ambala Cantt

The school hosted its Annual Class Concert, “Around the World with DAV Airlines”. Students from Kindergarten to Class II showcased the music, dance, and traditions of countries like India, Korea, Japan, and Europe, delighting the audience with performances, including bhangra and Goan dance. Chairperson Ashwin Sareen and Director Shivani Sareen welcomed chief guest Brig Manoj Lohani and Kavita Lohani, while Principal Dr Seema Dutt highlighted the school’s achievements.
