School kids take a pledge to save planet earth

DC Model Sr. Sec. School, Panchkula

To sensitise the students to the challenges faced by Mother Earth, students of DC Model Sr. Sec. School conducted a special assembly with enthusiasm. The online assembly started with morning prayer by the students followed by inspiring and beautiful English and Hindi poem and rhymes recitation by students exhorting the need to conserve precious earth and its valuable resources.

The students were made vigilant about the disastrous consequences yielded by the negligent and selfish activities of human beings through power point presentation by teachers.

In order to spread the message to conserve earth, the students were shown powerful quotes and slogans suggesting various ways to conserve tree, nature, water, recycle etc.

The highlight of the assembly was the power point presentation that focussed on the concern for environmental protection and further motivated the students to plant trees to conserve it.

The students also shared their videos and pictures feeding animals and birds, planting saplings near their homes and taking care if then by watering the plants.

Teachers and students took a pledge to plant a tree to show their concern towards mother earth. The Director Sh. BB Gupta encouraged the students’ efforts and expressed the necessity to spread awareness about the challenges faced by our planet.

St Soldier International Convent School, Mohali

In an effort to spread awareness with regard to the degradation of the environment, students of St Soldier International Convent School, Mohali celebrated the Earth Day with a number of educational activities. The children of Pre-Primary made a hand impression and pasted few leaves on the top symbolising growing more trees makes the mother Earth happy and created a drawing of happy mother Earth indicating the three cycles Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Among other activities drawing of Mother Earth in the shape of a tree and Earth surrounded by treesconveying the messages ‘Save Trees Save Earth and keep our Earth green and clean were conducted in a distinctive way.

Similarly students from primary wing participated enthusiastically in colouring and making Earth model activities whereas students from middle and senior wing spread cognisanceabout by trying their hands ondifferent utilitarian activities like -best out of waste activity, eco-friendly newspaper bags and planting of sapling in a colourful pot made up of discarded plastic bottles.

Apart from activities various videos on Save Mother Earth and Importance of conservation were shown to children. The day was marked not only by awareness but also exuberance on the part of students.

Moti Ram Arya Sr Sec Model School, Chd

Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary Model School, Sector-27-A, Chandigarh celebrated World Earth Day in online mode. The theme of the day was ‘Let’s Learn About our Country on the Planet Earth and Make it Beautiful’.

Students presented speeches related to sensitivity towards the environment. The Principal, Dr. Seema Biji gave message to the students about some significant contributions that they could make to support ‘Go Green’ drive.

The Principal advised them to adopt a tree, developed some basic habits like switching off electric appliances when not in use, reuse of old clothes, recycling of paper and save water etc.

Students of Classes VI-X participated in various activities like Poster Making. Multiple themes were given to them to inspire their imagination, such as Water Conservation, Tree Plantation, Say No to Plastic, Save the Planet Earth, Environmental Pollution, and more.

The students made beautiful posters, and shared them with their teachers through WhatsApp groups created by parents and teachers. Aesthetic skills were also developed by Poetry competition, brainstorming competition like Quiz were also organised for senior classes. Teachers and students took a pledge to keep their environment clean and plant more trees.

Sky World School, Pkl

On the occasion of the World Earth Day, several creative activities were organised to sensitise the children about the conservation of natural resources and to motivate them to do their bit towards making their planet even more beautiful. The students participated in plantation activity and were apprised of the importance of the day. Other activities such as ‘Poster Making’ and ‘Hand Printing’ gave the students a platform to showcase their artistic and creative skills.
