The Satluj Public School Model United Nations (MUN)-2024 Conference commenced with great enthusiasm on Day 1, drawing delegates from various schools for a stimulating diplomatic experience. Upon registration, delegates received their kits and identification materials, setting the stage for an intellectual journey ahead. A delightful breakfast buffet provided sustenance for the day’s important deliberations. The opening ceremony on Day 1 was marked by the presence of Director Principal and Co-Chairman Krit Serai, Managing Director Reekrit Serai, Director Principal and Co-Chairman Gur K Serai, Co-Principal Madhurima Serai, and Radhika Panickar Serai. The ceremony commenced with a mellifluous rendition of ‘Saraswati vandana’ by talented students, invoking blessings from the Goddess of knowledge, followed by insightful and inspiring addresses from the guests. The vibrant energy of the school dance team’s captivating bhangra performance enthralled the audience. Deputy secretary general Sahaj Chahal addressed the delegates with poise and eloquence. A spellbinding musical performance by the band ‘Eryee’ further heightened the ceremony’s grandeur. Finally, secretary general Uday Gaba formally declared the SPS MUN open. Day 1 featured two intense rounds of debates, with delegates showcasing their rigorous research, sharp analytical skills, and articulate arguments.
