Diwali and Haryana Day were celebrated on the school campus. The school’s vice-president Deepika Bhatia and joint secretary Poonam Bhatia attended the function. Dr Ranjana Sharma, Medical Superintendent, Park Hospital, Karnal, was the guest of honour. The Management Committee authorities, chief guest and parents were given a red carpet welcome by Principal Dr Puja Waalia Mann and In-charge, Junior Wing, Ritu Seth. The tiny tots of LKG invoked the blessings of Lord Ganesha through their dedicated dance performance. The troupe of dancers of UKG danced in the revelry of Lord Rama’s arrival in Ayodhya. The choir group of classes VI to IX, accompanied by the stupendous band, sang a Haryanvi song in the glory of the state. Foot-tapping dance performance by students of classes IV to VI showcasing the devotion of Shabri spellbound the audience. A skit, titled ‘Satyug Bana Kaliyug’, delineating the degradation of values among children in Kaliyug, staged by the students of classes V and VI was awe inspiring. The exhibition displaying creative Diwali decoration items prepared by the Pratapians was a cynosure of the event. Dr Ranjana Sharma applauded the show and urged the students to celebrate cracker-free Diwali. She highlighted the significance of blessings of elderly people in shaping the destiny of a child.
