The Secondary Block organised an inter-school as well as inter-class rangoli-making competition ‘Rangavalli - A Colour Splash’ for the students of Class X to bring out the festive spirits during Diwali celebrations and to promote the traditional art form among the students. In total eight teams contested in the competition — four from the partner school, Government Model Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh; one each from DAV, Sector-15, Chandigarh; DAV, Sector 8, Chandigarh, and DAV, Sector 8, Panchkula. Beautiful use of colours, designs, creative material, such as leaves, mirrors and decorated diyas added to festive galore. Rangolis were judged on the basis of overall appearance and appeal, details and clarity in rangoli art, colour combination and creativity. The first position was bagged by DAV, Sector 8, Panchkula, followed by Government Model Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, who clinched the second position. The third position was won by DAV, Sector 15, Chandigarh.
