Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Sector 92, Mohali

The Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev was celebrated at the school. A visit to local Gurdwara Fateh-e-Jung was organised for students of kindergarten to Class II, where they offered prayers and were introduced to the sacred place. Students of classes III-V recited ‘Mool Mantra’. Inter-house competitions of turban tying, ‘saakhi’ telling and a quiz were conducted for classes IX-XII. In the turban tying competition, Upkar House bagged the first position, Vigyan House got the second position, whereas Pargati House secured the third position. For quiz, Vigyan House stood first and Pragati House got the second position. In the ‘saakhi’ telling competition, Vigyan House got the first position and Upkar House got second the position. All winners were congratulated and appreciated by school Deputy Director Renu Hanspal. In her message she urged the students to follow the path of truthfulness and righteousness and to imbibe good moral principles as per the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev.
