To celebrate Guru Nanak Dev’s Parkash Purb, Vidya Jyoti Eduversity in Dera Bassi organised a series of competitions for local schools, inviting students to showcase their talents in a range of creative and cultural events. Guru Harkrishan Public School students won awards in various activities. Sharman of Class IX was awarded first prize in the turban-tying competition. Ishmeet Kaur of Class X bagged first prize in the poetry recitation competition. Tanu Gupta, a Class XII student, secured the second prize in the painting competition. Arshdeep Singh of Class XI (Arts) also received recognition in the painting competition for his impressive artwork. The school’s Principal Kavita Atri expressed her pride in the students’ achievements. The school also participated in an event organised by the Bharat Vikas Parishad on Guru Teg Bahadur Balidan Diwas. Competing against 10 schools, the school emerged victorious. A student of Class X stood first in the competition.
